The Washington women’s golf team continues its season on the other side of the country, competing in the East Lake Cup in Atlanta. The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins Monday with the UW, the reigning NCAA national champions, headlining the field.

The Huskies will face familiar foes in Stanford, Duke, and UCLA. After coming off a less than favorable finish in the Pac-12 Preview last Tuesday, the UW hopes to rebound on the East Coast this week.

In the second annual event at the East Lake Golf Course, the four women’s teams will be joined by the nation’s top men’s teams. The tournament grabbed the attention of national media and will air on Golf Channel Live Extra all three days.

Stroke play will open the tournament with an individual champion crowned on Monday. Competition will continue with two rounds to determine the team champions.
