Game Daily: Players to watch

UCLA

Kyle Anderson, guard The former McDonald’s All-American is a jack-of-all-trades for the Bruins, leading the team in rebounds and assists, and is second in scoring. A 6-foot-9 guard from Fairview, N.J., Anderson leads the Pac-12 in assists, averaging 6.9 per game, and is among the top five in rebounds and steals. He has recorded 13 double-doubles and one triple-double so far in this season. Anderson was named second-team All-Pac-12 in 2013 and was one of five players selected to the All-Pac-12 freshman team.

USC

Byron Wesley, guard The 6-foot-5 junior leads the Trojans in both points and rebounds per game, and his 17 points per game is seventh-best in the Pac-12. His 3-point shooting isn’t great, shooting just 31 percent, but his 148 two-point field goals is third best in the conference. Wesley has scored in double figures in all but four games this season, including a career-high 31 points against Northern Arizona in November. Before he joined the Trojans, Wesley was a star at Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., the same high school where current UW forward Perris Blackwell played.
