The Washington women's golf team took a fall down the leader board during the second day of play in the Pac-10 championships yesterday.
With one round left to go, the No. 11 Huskies sit in seventh place as they carded a 16-over par with 304. The UW sits at 26-over par with 602 after two days.
No. 2 UCLA strengthened its lead after carding a 290 to sit at 3-over par going into the final round. USC is in second place at with 586.
Paige Mackenzie is the only Husky to crack the individual top 10. The junior All-American is in a tie for ninth with UCLA's Amie Cochran 145.
Washington State's Kim Welch carded a 6-under par with 66 in round two to take the overall individual lead with 136. Meanwhile, first round leader Susie Mathews of UCLA fell down to a second place tie with Arizona's Cassandra Kirkland with 139.
Sophomore Amber Prange continues her strong play in the tournament as she sits in 11th after carding a 74 to sit at 147 going into the final round.
Junior Sung Ea Lee and sophomore Courtney McCracken rounded out the scoring for Washington as they both shot 7-over par with 79.
Freshman Kim Shin carded a 9-over 81, but did not count on the Huskies' scorecard.
Final round of play continues today with tee times starting at 8 a.m.
