Seniors Kimberly Keever and Shannon Simon each scored their fourth goals of the season, and sophomore defender Lisa Jensen tacked on another score of her own as the Washington women’s soccer team beat Seattle University 3-0 at Husky Soccer Stadium.

After losing its first home match of the season, the Washington women’s soccer team hosted the second-best team in the country for the first game of the 22nd annual Husky Nike Invitational on Friday night at Husky Soccer Stadium with hopes of obtaining a win.

After a 5 p.m. match this Thursday at Illinois, the Washington women’s soccer team travels back to Seattle for the start of a three-game homestand. The UW’s first home match is against Southern Methodist University at 12:30 p.m. at Husky Soccer Stadium.
Following a loss in their home opener, the Washington women's soccer team’s goal was to come out a more dangerous and determined force in the next game, and that’s exactly what it did, scoring on a rebound within the first two minutes. The UW carried that momentum through the rest of the game for a decisive 4-0 finish over Michigan State.

Another season begins for the Washington women’s soccer team, this time on the road. The Huskies open in Ann Arbor against Michigan at 5 p.m. Friday before moving on to East Lansing to take on Michigan State at 10 a.m. Sunday.
