The Washington beach volleyball season came to an end in the second day of the Pac- 12 Tournament as the Huskies lost to No. 12 Cal 3-1. It was the third time that the Golden Bears (20-8) beat the Huskies (9-16) this season in three matches.
The Washington beach volleyball team started the Pac- 12 tournament off with a loss to No. 8 USC 3-0 after cutting some games short after the Trojans (25-4) already had the win due to time running long.
In the past, the majority of the UW beach volleyball team have also been players on the indoor team. But this year, the team is different. With six players who solely compete in the beach season, the beach volleyball team is branching away from its indoor counterpart.
To round out its Hawaii trip, the Washington beach volleyball team played a final game against host No. 6 Hawai’i, falling 5-0 to the SandBows (24-7).

After a mixed first day in Hawai’i, the Washington beach volleyball team had the chance to play both No. 14 Loyola Marymount and San Jose State again. The Huskies (8-13) first fell to the Lions (22-9) in a 5-0 sweep before beating the Spartans (11-12) 4-1 with four of the games going to three sets.
