The Daily's seniors say goodbye: Kathryn Altena
I’ve procrastinated on writing this. Partly because I’m a college student, but mostly because I don’t know what to say or how to say it. I’m far too attached to this place to be able to string words together in a coherent order to somehow serve as an ending. So bear with me — I’ve been more of an editor during my time here than a writer.

Huskies knock off Cougars in Pullman in Pac-12 opener
The Washington women’s basketball team opened Pac-12 play in Pullman on Tuesday against in-state rival Washington State and extended its win streak to four, defeating the Cougars 79-64.

In the middle of what would be an eight game winning streak against in-state rival, Washington State, the 1977 Washington football team was heading into the Apple Cup hoping for its sixth win of the season to secure a bowl berth and continue play into the postseason.

UW men’s soccer ends regular season on a high note
After ending last year’s season as one of the leading goal-scorers for the Washington men’s soccer team, junior forward Mason Robertson found the back of the net for his first goal of the season Thursday afternoon to claim a 1-0 victory against Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore.

UW forces four turnovers against Pac-12’s best offense
Heading into Saturday’s matchup with the Washington football team, Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon had yet to throw an interception in seven games. That all changed in the UW’s 49-3 victory at Husky Stadium.

Game Daily: This week in Husky history — Do it for C-Dub
With less than five minutes left on the clock, the 2000 Washington football team was in need of a touchdown, trailing Arizona by four points. Quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo delivered, pulling off the fifth fourth-quarter comeback of the season for the Huskies, and snagging a 35-32 victory at Husky Stadium on Nov. 4, in front of more than 70,000 fans.
